When you sign in and use AFU, we collect your name and email address (via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple), volunteer hours and donation records you submit, task assignments, expense reimbursement requests, and push notification tokens to send you updates. If you enable Face ID / Touch ID sign-in, biometric data never leaves your device and is never sent to us — we only store your account email on your device for re-authentication.
Your information is used solely to coordinate volunteer activities within Advocacy for the Unhoused (AFU). Data is visible to AFU officers and branch coordinators as needed to manage volunteer operations.
We use Google and Apple for authentication, Firebase for push notifications, and Google Apps Script for data storage. We do not sell or share your data with any other parties.
Your data is retained while you are an active volunteer. You may delete your account at any time from the app dashboard, which removes your name, contact information, photo, date of birth, and sign-in credentials from the volunteer roster and deletes your push notification tokens. Anonymized activity records may be retained for organizational bookkeeping.
